Only two words describe this week’s public scapegoating of Israel following the Gaza flotilla incident. Sadness and antisemitism. Mainly, because all the other words besides the abbreviation, BS, are too vile to put in my blog. First, Israel, like any other progressive, democratic country, did not inspect the Mavi Marmara with intent to inflict casualties. But aggressive peace activists left them no choice. Since then, myriads of organizations like Stand With Us have been scrambling to get the facts out.

Under international law, Israel has every right to inspect cargo for contraband, weapons and other atrocities that other countries might illegally smuggle to terrorist groups like Hamas. And guess what? The IDF has seized hundreds of weapons from previous ships attempting to reach Gaza. In fact, the Israeli Naval Special Forces seized a civilian cargo ship smuggling weapons and rockets near Cypress earmarked for Hezbollah just last November.

Now, a stockpile of evidence gathered by the IDF following the incident proves the IHH’s propaganda backfired. Let’s review: A video of peace activists chanting death to all Jews, firing live ammunition at IDF officers, a video of “activists” stabbing an IDF officer. Does this sound like any peace activists you know? Hardly. Do “activists” usually carry firearms, firebombs, metal clubs, slingshots and large chunks of cash and make pre-incident videos about their desire to become martyrs? None that I know. Unless of course, you’re talking about terrorists. Bingo. The IHH has links to terrorists groups including Al Qaeda and Hamas. Fox news also reported that federal documents describe the IHH as playing a role in the Millennium terrorist plot to bomb Los Angeles International airport. Others know the IHH as a radical Islamic organization with an anti-Western bent. The fact that the UN has granted the IHH as part of their NGO branch is even more brow raising, though knowing the antisemitic history of UN, not surprising.

We all know that nut cases like Ahmadinejad and terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah and Al Qaeda have vowed to wipe Israel off the map. And the UN has made it clear by its continued efforts to lynch Israel at every turn (e.g. Goldstone Report and the overwhelming specials sessions that focus on Israel while overlooking countries with appalling human rights records that commit genocide ). So what gives? Plain and simple: Jew hatred.

Until we address the Jew hatred that continues to demonize and discredit Israel, our only Jewish country, we will have a hard time changing future outcomes of Gaza. Remember, 22 Arab states surround Israel. I haven’t heard anyone voicing the desire to wipe those Islamic states off the map. And I haven’t heard of those states coming up with a real plan to solve issues between Israel and Gaza. Why? It’s not to their advantage when countries like Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Libya are supplying Gaza with weapons to continue the rift.

It’s not hard to see the antisemitsm when you review the top 50 Islamic countries. Why would one Jewish, democratic state bother ALL these Arab nations? After all, Israel gives rights to over 1 million Arabs. Is it because Israel is democratic or Jewish? You decide. As, I already know the answer to that. It’s the same answer that has put Jews in peril since the beginning of time. Walk around any Holocaust museum in any major city and you too will know. Until we open our eyes and see what’s behind this sick game of charades that tries to sanction Israel while overlooking jihadists, we can never really help Gazans gain independence.

Would public opinion differ if “peace activists” from Mexico shipped weapons to the Port of Houston for Hamas? Certainly. Don’t you think a US coast guard along with custom officials and naval officers would inspect the ship? Indeed. Or what if the same ship from Mexico sailed into Long Beach, CA? Wouldn’t you assume under international law that all states and nations have a right to inspect materials coming into their ports? Obviously. We know that countries like Iran and North Korea put people in prison that accidently cross their borders. But we’re not talking about border crossings we’re talking about organizations affiliated with terrorists that use their own people as pawns in order to discredit Israel and win public opinion. Well it’s not going to work. While the IHH set a death trap for IDF soldiers, the evidence found proves it was a premeditated set-up. In fact, the week was ending on a sour note until this video began circulating the truth in one song and helped lift our heavy hearts.
