Who is Jennifer Hanin?

Jennifer S. Hanin, MA, is an award-winning writer, influential blogger, freelance journalist and coauthor of What to Do When You Can’t Get Pregnant: the Complete Guide to All the Technologies for Couples Facing Fertility Problems (Da Capo, 2005). Local and national media frequently court Jennifer to discuss the ins-and-outs of fertility. Newsweek (July 4, 2005) recommended her book as the one to buy when undergoing fertility treatments. Amazon.com also features What to Do When You Can’t Get Pregnant on their bestseller list for infertility books.

Jennifer began her career as a news intern interviewing community leaders and writing for ABC’s Houston affiliate KTRK-TV’s, Sunday Morning Show. She held the positions of Children’s Miracle Network Coordinator and Advertising & Promotions Coordinator for RE/MAX® of Texas as well as Editor/Reporter for its internal publication, the Texas Reporter. Jennifer served as Director of Marketing for the Houston law firm of Williams, Birnberg & Andersen, L.L.P.

Jennifer’s background includes writing for major corporations including KBR, Compaq, Honeywell, and RE/MAX. Her writing has appeared in numerous industry publications and press releases. She holds an MA in Public Relations from the University of Houston, and is author of a master’s thesis: Public Relations as Negotiation: A case study of the Dow Corning Corporation in the silicone-gel breast implant controversy. She has a social service background working with parents and children, and holds a BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University.

With Jennifer's help, KBR's E&C marketing communications department received the Houston AMA Marketer of the Year Award in 2008 for the energy industry, and was in the top 5 overall. Her department was nominated for 5 AMA Crystal Awards in 2008. Jennifer's project, EGTL Hearing Safety Training, won for Best Interactive Training Presentation.
