When I Have More Time…

Ever catch yourself saying you’ll do something when you have more time? Most everyone has experienced this or heard a friend dish about projects they’re putting off until their schedule clears. But does it ever occur? I mean with all the work and social commitments not to mention the endless extracurricular activities that appear once little pairs of feet come on the scene.

It’s one thing to talk about building your dream home, buying the ideal business or embarking on that novel, but when? Yet it’s an entirely different story to bring those dreams to fruition.

So what keeps us from fulfilling our dreams? Fear of failure? Fear of success? Procrastination? Or maybe staying content with status quo? Maybe none or all the above. Whatever the reason, keep in mind that your next great chapter may look like your last if you don’t make a plan and go for it. Don’t have time? Please. I wrote a 16 chapter book in 4 months with newborn twins. Did I forego major holidays in lieu of writing? Definitely. Was it hard? Darn right. Did I have a nanny? You bet. Do I have more time now then I did then? Ha!
